Exporting

Which export should I choose?

PDF for printing, SVG for cutting machines, DXF for CAD and CNC.

Short answer

PDF
Print-ready sheets plus build instructions
SVG
One file per sheet, zipped when there is more than one
DXF
AutoCAD R12, layered CUT, MOUNTAIN, VALLEY, TAB
Free plan
One watermarked sample sheet per export

What is in the PDF?

Every sheet at true scale with a printed ruler, plus an instruction section with a picture of the assembled model, a color key for the parts and numbered build steps.

Large exports take a few seconds to prepare and a status message appears while that happens.

Which export do I use with a Cricut or Silhouette?

SVG. Cut, fold and tab geometry are kept separate, so your cutting software can cut the outlines and score the folds.

A multi-sheet SVG export downloads as a single ZIP so you are not prompted once per page.

What is the DXF for?

CAD and CNC workflows. It is AutoCAD R12 with separate CUT, MOUNTAIN, VALLEY and TAB layers, metric units and correct extents.

Why does my export have a watermark?

Free accounts export one sample sheet marked Upgrade to Pro. A Pro plan removes the watermark and unlocks every sheet in all three formats.
